Cork flooring in high traffic commercial spaces
If you’ve been around Sebastopol for a while, you will remember the Chevrolet dealership at the main intersection where the new CVS store now stands. Next to the Chevy Dealership was the Ford dealership which has now been renovated. It houses Attico Consignment Furniture, Leff Design Center, Harvester Co. Custom Screen Printing and the Chimera Arts Maker Space. The updated building is the perfect addition to the creative and maker spirit of Sebastopol.
Natürlich supplied cork flooring for the main entrance that creates an interesting, warm, natural look. The cork is durable and keeps the noise at the entrance to a minimum.
From building owner Huck Hensley: "This space previously had the original epoxy-coated concrete floor that cars drove on to be serviced inside the old Ford garage. What is now an office lobby needed a durable, attractive low-maintenance floor. We sought a material to complement the exposed wood ceiling and rough-sawn plywood walls. We had good experience with cork flooring upstairs in the hallway. We chose this 12" X 24" cork tile. It looks great, and as a bonus, makes the lobby quieter."
