A Wide Variety of Our Natural Flooring Choices on Display at OAEC
Truly an environmental and artistic showplace for Sonoma County, the renovations and construction of new buildings at OAEC create a wonderful setting for the good work being done there. The center will host transformative retreats, workshops and strategic planning meetings for environmental and social justice change-makers for decades to come.
All materials chosen for use in the buildings were carefully vetted and the results are impressive in both their beauty and their low-impact on the environment. Natürlich supplied and installed a wide variety of our flooring materials such as cork, madrone hardwood, sisal, bamboo and Marmoleum.
Cork was a natural choice for the new 3,500 square foot Meeting Hall which was designed with the utmost care in aesthetics, natural light, materials, usability and function. Madrone was a perfect choice for the entry area, where it creates a seamless transition from the stunning outdoor setting to the building’s interior. Bamboo was used in the retreat cabins, sisal in the meeting rooms, and of course Marmoleum, a natural linoleum, for the food prep area.
